Xiaomi has launched its latest flagship smartphone series, the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro, in China. The devices are powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and run on Xiaomi’s new HyperOS software, which replaces MIUI.

Design and display
Both phone have similar designs, with a punch-hole cutout for the front-facing camera and a curved display on the sides.
The Xiaomi 14 has a 6.36-inch LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 1200 x 2670 resolution, while the Xiaomi 14 Pro has a 6.73-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 1440 x 3200 pixels resolution.

Both phones screen is rated to deliver a peak brightness of 3000 nits and full DC dimming.
Performance and software
Both Smartphones are powered by the Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, which is the fastest mobile processor on the market. The phones also come with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.
Both phones run on Xiaomi’s new HyperOS software, which is based on Android 14. HyperOS is said to be more lightweight and efficient than MIUI, and it also comes with a number of new features, such as a new design, improved performance, and enhanced security.

Both phones have similar camera setup which is Leica-branded triple-lens rear camera systems. It’s comes with a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP ultrawide sensor, and a 50MP telephoto sensor. The Xiaomi 14 has a 4,610mAh battery with support for 90W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
While, the Xiaomi 14 Pro has a 4880mAh battery with support for 120W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
Both handset supports 10W wireless reverse charging.
Price, Color and availability
The Xiaomi 14 starts at CNY 3,999 (around Rs 45,800) for the base model with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It comes in 4 colour varients – Black, Silver, Pink, Green.

The Xiaomi 14 Pro starts at CNY 4,999 (around Rs 56,800) for the base model with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It comes in 4 colour varients – Black, Silver, Titanium, Green.
Both phones are currently available for pre-order in China, and they are expected to go on sale in early November. There is no word yet on when the phones will be launched in India.
